For those who work hard to secure an exit from IBM into FAANG and you think you’re finally heading to greener pastures…
My current employer (FAANG) has been on a spree of hiring ex IBM letter band execs. Every time one comes in, they destroy the team they are hired to lead, ki-l morale, build empires, eliminate any sign of innovation, and start pinching pennies. It is starting to feel like I never left IBM. Anyway I thought I would give a cautionary tale to those who leave. You may find you’re back where you started, but with a better compensation package.

@1ujs - Well, our Execs certainly robbed IBM nu-e over the years ... ignoring their fiduciary responsibility to IBM and not re-investing profits into developing new products that customers actually want. Instead, they kept "skimming" profits through zero cost-basis stock grants and other scams to line their own pockets, while IBM went down in flames. Anybody who thinks these crooks aren't going to do the exact same thing at their new employers needs to wake up and smell the coffee. So, if you want someone with business savvy and integrity, who always insists on doing the right thing, then DON'T hire any managers from IBM! 😒

I’m not OP but I’m ex IBM now at Google and this rings true. The number of ex IBM execs here is sickening and they indeed destroy everything they touch. My guess is OP is either Amazon or Google, based on how many swamp creatures I see on LinkedIn having joined these companies recently.
