Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

Promotions/Raises

With inflation through the roof and our industry clearly in the scope of the White House, what is the long term specter on significant raises around here before 4th of July? I, for one, only received 6% raise this year, which is half of the inflation rate. I’m feeling the pinch pretty hard. Shouldn’t leadership do something about this? Also, when are they going to put in electric charging stations in the parking garage?

It’s east to get comfortable here. I don’t usually ask for a raise as I think that would put me at the top of the layoff list. I do appreciate the upgrade in the toilet paper department, though! Nice action item completed ✅ by Mr Way.

If it means anything. I was just promoted to “Reservoir Analyst VIII” (from Reservoir Analyst VII” in March. Got a 1.2% raise with it. In my 16th year at SWN. The career path here has been nails I must say. My partner threw me a surprise party with friends and our dogs to celebrate the milestone.

There you have it. This thread is why we are the laughingstock of the industry. Be happy you got a job and it is a job lacking challenge and purpose. We all waste so much time on non productive meetings that we have time to post here. Oh and btw, my department averaged 10% merit raises.
