People who steal other people's brown bag lunches out of the fridge should get a nice generous helping of rat poison.

This guy gets it. In 25 years of school and work I've bought lunch "out" one or two times, and those were odd exceptions due to very long hours worked. Brown bag it and 'pay yourself' via retirement accounts with the money. You'll never regret it. Besides, your heart will thank you. Restaurant food is generally horrible for you.

Manager says to walk to work and don't lunch anymore. It's called employee time theft apparently.

If you don’t brown bag lunch, drinks and snacks you are throwing your money away. This was true before inflation - now you’re just throwing away more of it.

Yes staying at home is like having a raise especially si ce raises are not good in the bank. In the SF Bay area you can save $30 daily between lunch, coffee and transportation, just to sit in an empty floor so someone can check a box.
