A member of my family who works for the Company just came home from work with a bag of salted caramel corn. He said they were given to all the employees at his location as a token of appreciation.
These people are utter mo--ns.

But what is being voiced is Ford does not appreciate the people who are working hard and actually making a difference. A paycheck and a bonus are not enough to retain the stellar employees when they see their coworkers getting the same paycheck and bonus for doing absolutely nothing. Then to receive a Lollipop as thanks for working 2 months of 85 hour weeks to get a critical project done, is just plain insulting. Yep that happened. and EVERYONE on the team got a lollipop, even the people who did nothing. Sure it was a big ole Lollipop, but seriously what adult eats a 4 inch lollipop? And what adult truly thinks a 4 inch lollipop would be motivating? It motivated me to find a job where I am appreciated.
Agreed! The handouts from Ford are lame. All I ever get are paychecks, bonuses, and benefits......Ford can keep their stinking money! Give us t-shirts instead!
I have a polo for one of the projects I worked on. I had to buy it.

My entire time @ Ford the sum of the Ford appreciation gifts were: blue plastic BIC pen printed with Thank You, a pad of blue lined paper, a Klondike bar, a movie ticket, a blue plastic paper clip, an old used Ford stapler. The stapler was retirement gift from LL6.
I was always so envious of people who had these nice polo shirts embroidered with a Ford project name and a date. Post retirement I learned that the ones I was envious of were made by a female LL6 for teams she led. The LL6 paid for the shirts out of her own money, not Ford. That LL6 is no longer @ Ford.

I don't know if you've been on campus the past couple of months but you'll get nothing for $1. A bottle of water cost $2 and a bottle of soda costs $3 from the company run vending machines. Meanwhile they expect us to return to the office and work on site.
Based on our recent quality, I wouldn't eat that popcorn. You know it is going to be recalled for having metal shavings or something in it.

This absolutely happened. In fact, a detail that I didn’t notice until this evening. There’s a sticker on the front of the bag that says, “Thank you for all that you do everyday - FORD+”

Ha! I worked at Ford for over 20 years and never got a bag of popcorn, so considered yourself lucky!
I can just see Botox Bill and Chris' Cousin leaning back in their chairs at the top of WHQ and saying: "Let them eat popcorn!"
A person I know got some popcorn from their company so I figured I would go on a layoff message board for that company and talk trash about it...but...it looks like somebody beat me to that

Lol sounds about right. Likely only cost Ford about a $1 a bag. New spin on working for peanuts. In this case popcorn. They think so little of people. Hey, the CEO said all the current employees are worthless mo--ns. But here's a bag of popcorn to eat until we get rid of you. Slap in the face in that's our worth.
