Thread regarding Ford layoffs

33 years with company retired and this is how they treat you.

Last year took away my wifes HEALTH benefits and gave us 500.00 to find a health care insurance company to rob you. 8,000 deductible, Thanks for your service because we are family orientated company. B.S..

LOL - when I took the PRP in 2018, the profit sharing check that they sent was miscalculated, giving me an extra $2k. I get a hand written note from HR asking to send a check for the overpay.

I ignored it, never heard anything back. The HR person was probably SRD'd!!

It felt good!!

Most Trusted Company!

Botox Bill likes to spout that nonsense. Then the company treats customers, suppliers, and employees like garbage.

Same exact thing happened to me! It took me over a month of constantly contacting them to get my last check. The company is an absolute joke and screws over their employees any chance they get.

So no mammograms, bone density testing, PSA, Hep C, blood count checks, cholesterol/lipid studies, etc for us until we hit 65 (Medicare age) …7 - 8 years from now. Godwilling all goes well and the decreased stress levels of not being in the toxic environment of Ford Motor are enough to keep us healthy. Shame on us for BOTH being employed by Ford and truly believing we were in the most ethical company on Earth. Ha! Jokes on us! My Dad warned me. i should’ve have listened. It really did feel like we were part of a family from 1989-2004. Then by the time it started changing it was too late to walk away from the pension promised in retirement. Made it through several rounds of cuts, followed by the Great Recession (recall that “lucky to have a job” feeling taking care of 2 young dependents), The worst was the Boston Consulting SRD phase.
At this point, it is obvious Ford wants all of us to not only retire early, but to die young as well. Lovely messaging.
It’s a business plain and simple. All about the money. Employees/Retirees are treated like furniture- something without a soul, heart or brain.

@ywt+1gUFWweG report them to the department of labor. That's illegal and they will help you get your wages.

I am very happy with my post retirement benefits. Great retirement for the 30 yrs I put in.
Some other people just want more and more and more.....I want this and I want that........I dont want to be greedy! I'm very happy and content.
If it were not for the greed of these people Ford would not have been in a little bit of trying times now.

Yup, this happened to me too. My insurance is horrible now. $7K deductible. I no longer feel obligated to purchase Ford vehicles anymore!

I quit voluntarily a few years ago during the SRD. Was supposed to be issued my final pay as direct deposit for the 2 weeks that I already put in when I gave my notice. A few weeks later I notice my bank account was short by a few thousand dollars. I log in and saw that Ford had clawed back the last 2 weeks pay from when I gave my notice. Called Ford HR and they told me that they would be sending me a check to cover the total hours worked and accrued vacation for those 2 weeks. That check never arrived. Ford screwed me out of my last paycheck. F8ckers.

Ridiculous. And Botox Bill spends time in the townhalls saying how awesome Ford's reputation is.

Yup. Promised use company provided health care plans. Then after we left, withdrew the promise. Bait and switch. I don’t want to spend years in court, but that is not right.

My only advice, sign up for Cobra. You’ll get a continuation of the company provided health plan, it’s cheaper than the market place plans, and the premiums are reimbursable. It only lasts for a year, but it’s something.
