Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Something will have to change

I hate there's talk about the full return to the office so soon after the hybrid was implemented. I don't think it's realistic to expect people to be receptive to that. If there were some changes made, then maybe. For example, I wouldn't mind going back to the office full-time if I was given the option to do four ten-hour days. It wouldn't be ideal, but it would be something I'd consider. Just pushing for full RTO is only going to send even more people to look for greener pastures.

Been working with off-shore for a long time. There is a mix of ability but the culture and time zone is different from the US. Because of this off-shore only makes sense in specific areas that have clear direction and "lane markings". Weaknesses are in global collaboration, innovation and creativity, broad understanding outside of their one area, and communication. Strengths are cost for butts-in-seats and focusing on tech silos.

Things are going as planned for them. US employees leaving in droves allowing them to hire 2 to 3 employees from India for every one lost. I heard it before on here we are the Bank of India on here.

I am all good for prosperity of all "global citizen", but its economics. Hire 2 or 3 workers for one and not have to high cost benefits to India employees. Only sales people will be US citizens and shareholders will be happy w cheap below average services that make 3% more...

Which LOB is considering full rto?

They will never be able to keep talent as long as the competition offers hybrid - which they all do.
