What health insurance options are people looking at, assuming you get fired, a layoff, or retire from WF?
The HR Handbook doesn't have much on that.
Anyplace online that spells it all out for those of us who are not financial guru's?

@2dca. Good for you to take the initiative to look for better coverage options. People who complain about government coverage don't realize how helpful it can be.

I just checked on COBRA as my SCL is about to end. $1500 a month for myself, spouse, and child. I was able to get essentially similar coverage on the government Marketplace for $450 a month. A reasonable stopgap until we return to our home country and its national healthcare system.
Health insurance has very little to do with health care. Usually it's not worth paying for insurance.
@ufb. That's a great rate. That's what it is normally for a single.
When I voluntarily left a year ago, Cobra was $800-900 per month for single+kids.
