Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What do you think of the new survey?

Feels more like a Blade Runner baseline interview.

In the past, surveys used to ask which company and location you work for, sometimes age group and also how many years you have been with the company. This “anonymous” survey doesn’t even pretend! No need to ask since we know who you are!

Just another perfunctory management task assigned by the consultants. Means nothing.

Survey was a joke, I’d love to know how much XOM paid a group of consultants to formulate those questions
Note there were zero questions about overall culture, PDS process and the quality of our management

What's the difference between anonymous and anonymised?

Do they really need a survey to figure out what the lowly staff knows? We've been telling them with exit interviews, and questions in the forums. Has management not been paying attention or do they not understand? Maybe because it's pretty good at the top, the poor conditions at the bottom are not clear?

Guys, this is an intelligence test. They know who said what. So, pencil whip all questions 100% positive to increase your chances of keeping your job until you find another one. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Besides if you read the words and only the words, and not what you want to hear, the questions are easy.
#1 I understand the company's strategy. A: Drill for oil and sell it to make maximum earnings for shareholders and pay a reliable dividend even if means debt, firings, raise freezes, whatever it takes. I do understand it. May or may not like it, but that wasn’t the question, etc.

I was also thinking of boycotting as a statement.

is there any questions that ask us for feedback on the PA process that everyone hates? if not I'm not even opening the survey. Boycotting it is making a statement

In Excel Error Check term - Circular Reference. Good luck figuring out what the data really means. Excel warning - Circular Reference could result in calculation error. LOL

If you read the privacy policy before filling it out, it clearly says it is not anonymous in all cases.

Survey itself is a complete joke. Honestly got fooled thinking it was going to be worth the effort. Questions were just cringe.

Despite what they say the survey will not be anonymous. This is a blatant attempt at figuring out who amongst us has drunk the Kool-Aid. Honest answers to any of these questions will not cause anything to change. Take the safe route, give them the ego-st-----g answers they are looking for, and put your efforts into something that will actually benefit you-update your resume.

Always remember that no on-line survey is "anonymous". They track our IP address when we fill out the survey.

The only "anonymous" survey is a paper ballot.

1/2 azzed. Did a 3rd grader write these questions? Do you work hard and have fun? I work hard and have no fun so I say no. Do they conclude that I don’t work hard but have fun.

Not a single question about what employees care about like compensation, reducing headcount and a weaponized PIP process.

Instead they will ask banal questions like do you get along with your team and is your management providing clear direction.

They obviously don’t care what we think but want to commission a study to pretend that they do.
