Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

So how much longer

Are we going to have to keep selling this tragedy of a streaming option that is Directv stream in retail stores now that AT&T has nothing to do with it?

Our CEO keeps spewing out how our focus is mobility and broadband yet the push from above is still to shove this failed streaming option down customers throats at all costs regardless of the fact that it's in no way even a competitor in the prepaid TV field when it comes to the Retail side.

It's not truly prepaid, it requires a credit check, it requires the box, you have a 2 year contract with it. You don't have that if you order online, yet somehow we're meant to compete against our own company with better offers online as usual

att never put much behind their streaming products.

People want help setting up their phones and being guided to what they need. The reps however are incentivized to slam customers. If the public only knew.

COR stores aren't profitable. That's why they're trying to convert stores to AR. Problem is, they want AR's to implement the same business practices as COR. That will make them unprofitable and run them into the ground like they did to Spring. Prime is in borrowed time.

I have to wonder how many of the COR stores are profitable. Few if any!

Call centers stopped selling it months ago. And subsequently lost their TV discount.

Retail had their discount taken away AND they're still forced to sell it.

Anyone that kept it after the price went back up to full price (for stream) idk how you sell it without animosity. I can see the transactions now

Customer: so do you use directv stream yourself?

Rep: no, that cr-p is way too expensive. Plus you're locked in for two years if I sign you up because I'm required to sell you this cr---y $120 box that does less than a $35 4k fire stick. Now give me your ID, I have to run your credit because this isn't really prepaid like hulu tv or YouTube TV etc

Well it would still be a source of some income if nothing else is a reseller, AT&T has an interest in wbd doing well especially with how the stock is being held, has nothing to do with it is a bit of a stretch

T has a vested interest in Direct TV, T is the majority owner at 70%. Keep on selling!

Ask the question to the big man in charge, son.
