It's not the executive leadership that's the issue here. It's all the lazy id--ts with sub par college degrees with zero experience who think they can demand how their employer assigns them the work they agreed to do when hired. Entitled overgrown infants who can't problem solve or adapt to save their rears.

@asl+1gd8ORHc- that’s because you don’t. Haven’t you heard, Lincoln freed the slaves. Just because your great great grandpappy had to work from sunrise to sunset while walking to work in the freezing cold (Uphill both ways of course) does not mean that’s still required in this day in age. Technological advances allow us to work smarter, not harder while still maintaining a healthy work life balance. I know it’s a hard concept for some of you ol’ timers to understand but it’s called progress.
Some went to very good schools. Many are quite intelligent but are behaving and/or thinking like fools.. I think it is the age thing that you hit upon. Too many of the young believe they don't have to work like dogs to earn a living. It is really that simple.

There are too many University of Phoenix 'graduates' (and other 'let me buy my degree online' colleges) who work here. I had an employee who had a 'doctorate' from what of those shops and had absolutely horrible writing skills.

If you dont pursue a degree it will depend on your career goals. Typically a degree provides you with more opportunities especially at higher levels.

Firstly - college degrees are less than helpful these days, especially for things like technology or design. Skills and a viable portfolio matter much more.
Secondly - if you’re good at your job you can request these things from an employer, because your skill set might be greater than many other replacements.
Thirdly - your piece about choosing how they do the work their employer hands them is vague, but I assume you mean RTO, and that’s an archaic idea. We have moved on. We are digital now and nothing needs to be done face to face.
