Every once in a while it hits me just how awful XOM management is and how they've managed to make layoffs even worse than they were by turning them into firings through PIPs. We used to worry we'd get let go but at least we knew we'd get some money to help us through the worse. Now they took that away as well. More money for them, sc--w the employees. It's not as if we matter anyhow, right?

Direct hired employee is the new name for 1 year at a time contractor.
The company is not the same one I hired on with. Leave if you can. Too many arrogant managers and boot lickers remaining. Most all intelligent/ competent folks have left. Only competent folks remaining are that aren’t trying to make it to retirement.
I’m sorry but the complaining is pathetic at this point. This company sucks. Deal with it or leave.
