Doesn’t It Feel Good to Be Great?

With back-to-back No. 1 ranking as a Great Place to Work, we Cisco employees in the U.S. are in good company. Now is the time to celebrate our achievements and awsomeness! Who’s with me?!!

There are not plenty of companies looking to hire 50+ year olds. Leaving if you are unhappy is not always an option.

If you have to be told it's a great place to work, it isn't.

So many people are bitter about their job. I'm not going to lie to you and say you have no grounds to be upset because, I agree, things are screwed up at Cisco.

However, do yourself (and everybody else) a favor and leave if you are unhappy at Cisco.

Cisco had to sell half of Headquarters due to all the outsourcing to India. Helped many laid-off employees reach their full human potential.

You have to read between the lines. It isn't a survey of random employees. "One part of the total score is based on our evaluation of company programs and policies, while three parts come from our analysis of employees’ survey data." "Eighty-five percent of the evaluation is based on what employees report about their experiences of trust and reaching their full human potential as part of their organization"

Full human potential.....not sure that is what I look for an employer for.

At the end of the day, whether this award was "purchased" or not (personally, I do feel these types of awards are simply "bought"), it's still pretty sweet to see the company you work for at the top of the list.

These things are just like the "30 under 30" and "leaders of the channel" awards. The people that pay the most win.

The people who tick the most diversity boxes win.

I guess it depends what you value.

If you want lots of company awards, Cisco is great.

If you want to be paid market rate, learn more and be in a culture of consistently great people - look elsewhere.
