Forget about work-life balance

Ever since I came here, I no longer have any work-life balance and working here leaves me very little time for family. I thought that in time I would get used to it and manage to organize myself more efficiently, but it wasn't like that. The only way forward it seems to forget about work-life balance here or go elsewhere?

Hate to say but you’re d-mb. Why are you working so hard? Look at those around you playing the game pretending to be busy. Intel is a great place to be when you know how to play the “I’m so swamped” game and let others do the lifting.

In golden days, there were a lot more senior folks and helps us in WLB. Now any department you end up with, you slave away and often for no pay raises.

Poor WLB = Poor management

Stop working extra, start looking for a new job. It’s all in your control. You can do it! Don’t waste your life at a mediocre company working with a-holes.

I 100% agree, 2 years in and the workload just endlessly continues to increase. Some weeks I work from when I wake up until I go to bed and still fall further behind in my workload. I do think this is department specific though. Some departments have excellent WLB, while others you are simply a slave to your endless workload
