Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

What is the ideal employee for Dell?

My personal opinion is that goals are mostly unrealistic. Do you also have a feeling that managers are losing touch with reality, which they show every day with their expectations of employees? Sometimes I wonder what they want from us? The ideal employee for Dell seems to be the one with Stockholm Syndrome, yess man, who is satisfied even though he is undervalued, exhausted and on the verge of burnout.

Dell's ideal employees have to be international, from India, Brazil, China, and Malaysia. 🤑

They want someone who isn’t going to challenge leaders or try to innovate, just good little nails who won’t dare to stick out. People who will kiss their directors bu-t on command. People who don’t have options elsewhere who will just shut up and take the abuse from managers without speaking up. I’ve seen some downright cruel behavior from managers and have seen what happens to the people who try to keep their integrity.

Why is so difficult to work at Dell? Why it is so difficult to innovate at Dell? Is it because of the culture? In good company with a vision and healthy culture work is not a difficult thing..
