Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

ExxonMobil Argentina is in LinkedIn Top 25 companies in Argentina

Yey! Though we got kicked out of Dow we made a top 25 list in Argentina! On the contrary, we are seeing a bunch of Argentenian employees posting their resignatory posts on LinkedIn. Hmm...I wonder who to believe, departing employees or out of touch mgmt. posting these on LI. One mgmt. poster even shared this post stating how proud she is in having a hand in developing IT in Argentina and helping people develop their career. I mean really! Yikes!

@vjd+1ggyx2Hy You know that your money also worth less every day, right? Hyperinflation is not the only inflation out there.

I was also shocked re--rded XOM is, I was in Emit and saw how subpar our hiring is in Argentina (and in Hungary too) and it is jus a missed opportunity with Argentina. They start paying wages in USD, it will not mean anything for the corporation but actually skilled people would flood the Argentinian recruiters. Instead we got a mo--n who in 4 months could not learn the basics of our team's work and as far as I hear (I have left the company around 7 months ago) he still has no idea.

Somehow in EMIT managers don't understand thatvhaving people like this is an actual waste of money because they are literally useless, not just suboptimal. Also this kind of hiring drives the remaining okay people away, as for us the workload grew with the hiring and of course it had to be done by "someone".

Fix your government first. The fact that your currency is worth less every day isn't ExxonMobils fault.

Really, ExxonMobil management and managers have become free entertainers on LinkedIn and on this board because that's all they are worth without any other real skills.

Well, ofcourse. The stated mgmt. employee is privileged one to enjoy all expat perks through own career and don't know what it feels like being a worker bee in Argentina. Another self-proclaimed mgmt. robot. Some of the mgmt. names I see on LI posting like this is really an eye opener for me as to the wickedness filled in them. Last 2 years have exposed these folks completely and now they are on a defensive and damage control mode to collect more RSUs and perks their bosses will reward them with in exchange of promoting and carrying out their agendas.
