Anyone else have email issues yesterday?

I didn’t get my Happy Easter email from Charlie or anyone else in corporate yesterday. Wanted to see if you guys got it or maybe something is wrong with our outlook system right now??

The difference with 4th of July is that it isn’t a holiday outside of the US. Of course they don’t care. Easter is for both places but we didn’t get it off. For teams that REQUIRE multiple people be available daily, it’s impossible for everyone to use their floating holidays on Good Friday.

I’m just here for the paycheck. Not interested in anything else.

@2mrl+1ghDSaFF I’m sure India whines when you get 4th of July off and they don’t. Just kidding, they have a calendar of their own holidays and don’t worry about your holidays - just like you shouldn’t worry about theirs.

@2xbe+1ghDSaF do you print these corporate holiday emails out and frame them? Using them to paper the walls of your office? File then for future grievances? I’ve never worked anywhere so full of people bu-t hurt about nonsense.

You get floating holidays - if you want to use them, use them.

We got an email for Earth Day though. We don’t get a day off for that. And like someone said, we also get an email for every single special month that’s out there.

For the people in the back - the holiday is not a business holiday! You get emails about MLK Day and surely will get another for Juneteenth because we have paid holidays for them. Same email we get for Veteran’s Day - paid company holiday then message from the CEO.

It was also Passover and Ramadan this weekend but there only seems to be one group whining they weren’t recognized for their special day. Grow up, get over it and realize the world is changing.

Surprised we don’t get Good Friday off but our team members in India did.

In my experience, people who shout “we need more MLK” generally don’t know what MLK actually said. He was not a moderate.

Extremely well said! Thank for for the efforts you put into that. I am the OP and this is exactly the point for my satirical post. Being a White Christian Conservative, I feel like I’m the epitome of what corporate doesn’t want in this company, even though I’m a big producer as an individual contributor.

Happy Easter to all. Christ shed his blood for our sins so we may have eternal life. Christ has risen!

I think the point is the company's hypocrisy. Some things are recognized and lauded as diverse/vibrant/great with a message from the CEO, and some aren't. It isn't hard to figure out which groups are "more equal than others".

BTW, I'm not Christian and don't celebrate Easter. The exclusion of certain groups while militantly shoving "diversity" down everyone's throat is offensive all the same. We as a culture need to grow up and understand the fundamental truth that every human being is unique. Shoving people into simple minded demographic categories is fundamentally dehumanizing and is ONLY done to control people, pit people against each other, and increase division. It's primitive and counter productive in every level. We need more MLK and less people that think the cure to historical racism is to turn around and be racist towards other people that weren't even involved in said historical racism.

Right now some tool is ready to dismiss these comments, because of their own biases and assumptions. Before you go down that road, I'm not white, so save the racist attacks that almost always come up when someone dares to challenge modern day institutional racism.

What is this obsession with mixing personal/private life and work? Unless you’re working in the Cadbury egg factory who gives a toss about a holiday on a non-working day only part of the company even celebrates? And is your holiday ruined by the CEO of of the company not sending you a cookie cutter message - a man you’ll never know personally and who you rag about night and day?

Stop with the hypocrisy and obsession. Do your work, go home and live your life. It’s really not that difficult.

Another reason Charlie lacks leadership. The shitshow continues.

The Chainsaw CEO doesn’t like fluffy bunnies or career development or anything that has to do with retaining talent. He called us a cult remember? But what wells does like is setting sales goals so employees open fake accounts and then firing them but promoting the loser managers and leaders who pushed them to do it, refuse to refinance black homeowners, being unfair to employees on the yearly “exceeds” rankings, give out 1.99% raises, move jobs overseas to India, and lay off lob’s after not being transparent on why they were hired in the first place.
Did I miss anything? Anyway, NO. Wells doesn’t like peeps or that grassy stuff on the bottom of the Easter baskets anyway so….Happy Easter anyway!!!!!
