Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Perks

Well they took my DIRECT TV discount down to 25%, got 3% payraise which dosent make up the difference to keep DTV, we cant get Internet here in our community so no benefits there, so I maxed out my EMO account and let others pay me to have a phone and I pocket the profits$$

Makes no sense, unless your DTV was the same yearly as your pay.

You ain't seen nothing yet, Santone and Stankey claim T benefits are over the top. Look for continued erosion of benefits. It's a race to the bottom for T provided benefits!

"AT&T owns 70% of the common stock of the new company DirecTV OWNED BY TPG.

Elon Musk (was) the largest stock owner in Twitter until a few days ago, doesn't make him the CEO. "

Well if they can give us a 25% discount then they can just as easily give us the old discount that we did have. 70% ownership of the stock is a controlling amount meaning AT&T may not be the CEO, but they have control of the company. Elon Musk was the largest shareholder with under 10% of the stock, but had enough influence with that amount to be offered a position on Twitter's board. So clearly 70% would give you a large influence over the company.

All these id--ts still vomiting the line "ATT STILL OWNS DIRECT ATT STILL OWNS DIRECTV HUUURRRR"

Either you were fed that line by your manager to get you to shut up and accept you still have to sell it or you're incapable of reading for yourself.

T still owns 70% of Directv, only sold off 30% of the company. So, why was our discount reduced by 75% when it should have been reduced by only 30%? T's rationale is if you don't like the discount, then either drop the service or shut up and pay your monthly bill!

Your DTV discount wasn’t taken away. DTV is no longer part of T.
