Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Anne Chow retires….she got fired.

No shame in that. It’s business. But she got pushed out.

So did I back in July 2020!

I was fired (surplused) but eligible (and able) to retire so I did.

Life is good now.

As soon the United Way campaign was assigned to her, it was over. UW is always given to the exec who is expendable.

“Anyone notice she doesn’t retire until August 1st? Why so long?”

It’s sort of like all the veteran employees terminated last year to keep the higher medical benefit level. They were given time in a show of dignity. There was really little to no need for an extended turnover. The extra time just helped them save face.

Simple, her gig with American Airlines doesn't start until August 1!

According to Chow, boxing makes Chow a better leader.

Not the type of public messaging anyone makes a month before their planned retirement.

A couple things…. The timing is suspect, earnings come out next week, no way she retires on her own if her business met/exceeded targets

I used to be a Direct report to her, she was two faced and lied directly to my face and stabbed me in the back. Prior to that I was chief of staff to a former group president when AC was a svp and he would regularly put his phone on mute to mock her incompetence. Not sure how she rose to level she did, but she did…. Some how….

Rest assured she has a 8 figure exit package…. So sad….

She didn't get pushed out. She has a future retirement date of August 2022...if pushed out, her date would be 30 days. Come on use common sense.

Good riddance. Won’t miss her weekly spam emails about how great she is (just ask her). I guess McElfresh had a “candid conversation” with her.

Who’s next?

More time now for her to work on her "Brand".

Millions in annual salary that will no longer be wasted. I’m sorry but no one will miss her lack of contribution.
