If you’re in the US your accrued hours are on your paystub.
California law dictates PTO be paid. States have different laws. NC does not make employees pay out PTO unless it was in your hiring contract.
I work outside the US and when I left voluntarily, PTO was not paid out.
Then you must live in North Korea. ACCRUED PTO must be paid out, unaccrued is not.
Some payroll systems tell you at the beginning of the year you have 10/20/25/30 PTO days for the year. If you leave after 3 months, you only get 1/4 of that paid out. Other payroll systems show you the accrued PTO. You will be paid whatever is outstanding (leave not yet taken).

PTO is an asset that is yours on the books. It is illegal not to pay PTO. That doesn't include personal days, days 2 give, etc...
Be careful. Any unused PTO days will NOT be paid out in cash.
Yes, you earned it and it'll pay out regardless of the amount of notice you give.
LOL, this board responds faster than HR.
They should patent this and be like a first level of HR support.
Yes. Left in February, got my check in a week or so after my last day. San Jose...
Yes, they do. It comes a couple weeks after your last day. I left in January 2021 after not taking PTO for 18 months. It was a nice payout. FYI, I’m in California.
