Yip, y’all at WGB are to be sh!tcanned. The meeting was more than 6 months ago BTW. Try mid 2020 when the plan was first put in to motion. A lot of moving parts before the trigger can be pulled hence the delay. Anyway, completions support in ADM makes the TR1P easier 😉. Once sick note gets bacK under ⬅️His thumb down under, he can help with another of his wonderful strategic failures. Got to get one right eventually.

No staff getting replaced means the writing is on the wall for WGB y’all. If they aren’t replacing staff with the order book healthy then it’s only a matter of time.

It has lasted longer than most, I imagine there is plenty of space at Spencer Road for the front office folks who remain.
Ironic that Huntsville has weathered the storms; perhaps if more effort had gone into fixing the issues at legacy shops such as Huntsville and Pearland we would be in a better place today, but that wasn't the Weatherford way. Opening new "Centers of Excellence" or "world class manufacturing and training centers" was just too tempting an opportunity for the empire minded manager to pass up.
At least we didn't pay consultants millions to reveal the obvious fact that our nonexistent profitability was due in part to operating hundreds of independent shops. Oh wait...we did that twice. Adios WGB.
Sad to read this maybe happening. Many years ago, they moved Completions out of Huntsville for a reason. Sad to think it could end up back there. With what has happened over the years with the new technology tool designs etc, that have moved into GB. Unless Huntsville allocated a building the size of GB. This would not work. Plus I do not think any of the staff would move. My vote is leave it as it is.

Sat in the same meeting 6 months ago when they made these decisions. They have two more big ones to close down here in the same area of Houston, greens and WHR. Retire if you can like LA, or milk it to the end… There’s a lots of work out there now besides this deranged place.
