Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

The last two weeks

And so now that I'm finally planning to give notice, I'm wondering how to last another 14 days here.
It would be interesting for me to hear the experiences of what the period from giving notice to freedom looked like in your case.

If you are going to a competitor they will walk you out as soon as you put in your notice. Have your insurance m, 401k and investment info downloaded and all your stuff from the office.

I've never had to have an exit interview w/ Cisco, so I'm not sure how they'd know if I'm going to a competitor or not. But what was said about having your insurance/HSA statements, Paystubs, 401(k) & investment info downloaded is a very good idea. I do that at the end of every quarter, especially at the end of Q4! And now that Cisco has gone "Hybrid", I no longer have a desk so there's no need to remove any personal items from my desk.

Pro tip:

Last day should land at the beginning of the month. Your insurance is good through the end of the month. Take some time before the next gig.

Mail back your laptop full of bricks just as a parting “gift” to Cisco because had they gave you a decent wage or taken care of you, you would not be leaving…

I spent most of it saying goodbye to close colleagues and attending virtual happy hours.
