What do you think, who will inherit the Nike throne?

@7eug: I have personally witnessed two highly qualified people not being hired because those candidates didn’t meet an implicit “diversity” requirement. They didn’t have the ‘correct’ skin color. This is both morally wrong and illegal.

Please don’t try to gaslight by telling me I didn’t see what I saw with my own two functioning eyes and ears. This DOES happen at Nike and IMO it’s only a matter of time before some lawsuits start flying over the issue. Some other large companies have already been sued for the same reason and in each case the courts found that race HAD played a role in discriminating against well-qualified candidates. You cannot in any way take a person’s race, ethnicity, or other similar physical characteristics into account when hiring or promoting. Full stop. It really is that simple. In recent years some large companies have attempted to push those boundaries under the guise of “diversity” and in the process they have swung the pendulum too far in the opposite direction. People know this too because it’s kind of difficult to sweep under the rug and because some of us have actually seen it in real time.

I am not racist. In fact I don’t care, and never have cared, what racial background my colleagues have. Which is the entire point. It’s not supposed to be a factor AT ALL. People like you casually throwing the term “racist” around because we DON’T want anyone discriminated against is growing stale and is backfiring more and more by the week. I’m confident this issue will be resolved when the facts are presented and Nike is forced to atone for its current discriminatory hiring practices.

Yes I’m “just telling it like it is.” Deal with it.

I love the racist people here pretending they’re not being racist under the guise of “just telling it how it is”…yeah, you’re racist

Good lord please let it be anyone that can help move the needle. JD is pathetic. The novel email that was sent with his name on it was excruciating. Good grief this guy needs to go — NOW!!!
