It sure seems like T is dying a slow death. The 1st Q2022 earnings call, along with the past ten quarters, were not good news. The company seems to be running on autopilot. Stankey has alienated most all rank and file, employees don't want to hear anything from him. The future for AT&T looks bleak. I don't see any positive changes until Stankey is ousted. Employees are sick and tired of the arrogant know it all attitude.

Wow. That first comment is just a wealth of impotence. A more accurate statement would be: 'When a company's employees focus becomes bitterness, anger, ignorance, and racism and combatively opposing common sense public heath measures due to some ridiculous political tribalism, the end is in sight.'
T also continues to employ technicians and other personnel without having any work to keep them busy. Something needs to change, but is T aware of this and if so, why do they accept this as a way of doing business?
look folks, cell service and broadband is not a long term strategy. Who else provides these services- everyone. The price for both will continue to decline as they become more of a commodity service.
T is in bad shape right now. It will take a long period of minimal raises, less benefits, paying down debt, buying back stock, and reduction in headcount before anyone sees a real benefit to what’s currently provided as the newest strategy/vision.

That "someone" would certainly not be Randell. Randell thrust AT&T into the media business. Randell didn't want to "manage decline" so he decided to go all in and double down on "decline".

So Stankey is going to invest billions into the old technology and will call the new division “Vintage Plus” for the millions of people who crave the sound of dialup modems and high latency waiting for their web pages to load.
Stankey predicts this will raise revenue across the board.
