I’ve heard that HR are looking at a mid year pay rise to keep up our lowly position and stop more attrition. Anyone else heard this or is this a jerk off?

Nothing visible yet in EU/UK. Don’t we have super high inflation also ?? Ignoring for a moment lower salaries on a flat CL basis vs US equivalent coupled with a much higher cost of living……. And don’t even mention tax rates….. out of sight, out of mind apparently.
Did ROW get nothing????????
Not a very clear communication. Is that a one time cash payment or a permanent salary increase? If is for US based employees, does that include US based expats?
This seems to be true
I work in Baytown, and I see the company creating several new supervisor roles, as well as turning previously IC roles into pseudo-supervisors, maybe with 1-2 Wage/OCA direct reports. I get that they’re trying to do this to retain people that they’re putting into those positions, but I don’t think they understand or care about the impact to people that go under these “rubber stamp” supervisor jobs. Maybe they think wage people are less likely to quit, but from what I’ve seen they are just more likely to quit and go to a competitor versus MPTs which are more likely to quit and leave the industry entirely.
Exxon is still high on headcount relative to peers. So, I doubt that would happen. What they haven't rationalized though, is how many managers they have relative to peers. They should annihilate the meddle manager ranks, which would resolve both the headcount and efficiency problems that plague the corporation. People who go management are more likely to drink the Kool-Aid and less likely to quit. So, it's the working people who will keep moving on from the ranking process. Unfortunately, the systems in place are incapable of correcting the inherent problem.
HR will likely look at it and come to the conclusion that EM already pays a competitive wage relative to its peers, which (totally coincidentally and not at all how every decision is made at this company) is the initial conclusion already made by the senior executives that commissioned the study.
Maybe a nickel raise
I'm not here for the money.
i'm a petroleum engineer.
@1kjx+1grN1oEb both hurt the bottom line and destroy shareholder value
Not going to happen. That's why some managers are giving out spot awards like tick tacks. Spot awards have already surpassed my salary increase.. not that it was much of hurdle
The only and I mean ONLY thing DW hates more than LGBTQ+ employees is giving out pay raises
The beatings will continue until morale improves. Nice thought, but it’s a pipe dream. More heads need to roll to meet their gosls
That’s funny 😄
Yes, they are going to hand out candy bars. Some will have Golden Tickets, granting us our every wish.
I heard the same thing
This is how jaded the company has left us. Almost no one can be believe that the company can show any level of widespread generosity (other than a paycheck) and those that do believe are considered to be gullible.
Yes, big pay raise just around the corner... over the next hill. Just wait...
Award letter and employee can spend certain amount on company card...seen that posted by an employee on LI..quite funny these days to see employee posted their recognition letter on LI :p
Better than cash! You’ll receive 20 goto/thankyou notices which is what employees really want.
There is payscale adjustment exercise going on for most CLs. Mostly, it's just a change in your penetration numher relative to 100% mid point. Some will actually get a few bucks to get where HR places them on new pay scales. ,
Yes, the additional raise is going to be really really Huge and it will not fit in your ASSets!
That is not possible under DW. Maybe a pay cut but a raise? Give me a break. I don't believe it.
Nope, we are long on heads in US, Singapore and NWE so nada. There will be further increases for the BSCs.
Maybe top 25 RGP.
Yes, I heard it will be across the board at least 200 basis points
