Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Sometimes removing the leader doesn't change anything

Today in the Town Hall, Bill Ford said, referring to a post Putin Russia and the eventual return of Ford to that country, that "Sometimes removing the leader doesn't change anything".

Instantly, I was thinking if that statement also applies to the company. Is Ford already so set in the wrong ways that changing BF/JF would not matter anymore? Is the bureaucracy so entrenched? Is the work force so disenchanted and so cynical, that a change at the helm would not mean anything? Can we be inspired and motivated once more? Are we doomed to fail?

Kind of hard to change the culture when many of the upper management have been in the same seats for over a decade.
