Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The sinking Titanic

I feel like I’m at the final stage of the sinking Titanic in my years long career with Wells Fargo and it’s time to bail out. Anyone else feel this way?

Yes. It’s unfortunate to witness the decline and poor treatment of longtime loyal employees, however I’m pivoting and riding the severance into retirement.

Hi and yes! The wheels are coming off the Stagecoach and that’s why I’m jumping off after 37 dedicated years. The last round of layoffs of retail RSC’s were cruel and shameful!

They pay for college.. lol… 5k a year is like 2 classes. They should really increase that to get with the times too. Starbucks does more.

I left a very lucrative job (sales) at WF last year. Best decision of all time!

I almost see it as opportunity. All these people bailing makes me more and more valuable

Yes. I too am in the final year or so of my career.

I'd job hopped a lot before coming to WF, and have seen what happens when companies are having layoffs or other staffing problems. I've always jumped ship when that sort of turmoil starts happening - and it's always ended up for the better.

Normally I'd already be gone, seeing what's happened to WF over the past few years. But now I'm retirement-eligible, so when I'm done here I'm "done". No sense in going to another company at this point. I'll just keep collecting a paycheck, but if they offered me a severance I'd take it.

Looking around, you and I are not alone. There's a fair number of people like us out there.

No. I've been here long enough to ride out the crazy. Happens every few years.
