Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford DOES not care about you!!!

This deserved its own thread:

For all of you inhumane id--ts who 'Bleed Ford blue' just watch them sweep your blood out the door behind you! How much does it take for you to GET IT! They don't give damn about you, your family, your health, your mental well-being...nothing! They don't care about you. Buch of paranoid, slithering cronies looking after each other as they have done for years, milking the company dry with incompetence. Get out on your terms, so they won't have a celebration when they push you out of the door! Run, don't walk to the next company!!

Well said! You are a liability to management, no matter how good you are at your job. Look at some of the longtime Ford employees that gave blood sweat and tears were treated at the end: Marcy Klevorn, Joe Hinrichs, etc.......

Ford doesn't care about you. Bill Ford Jr. is not worthy of shining his father's shoes. Farley? HA! Look at his compensation as he smiles all the way to the bank while affecting people's lives yesterday.

Take @1nsc+1gsmKhsn and get out now, while the job market is booming. Or if you have 30+ years take the retirement buyout and enjoy life. Oh, and NEVER buy another Ford vehicle again.

Do not trust Farley. He brags about his grandfather working at a Ford factory and how he loves Ford etc but he spent much of his time helping Toyota compete against American car companies, Ford included. He is only loyal to $$$$.

2000 per year is 50,000 for 25 years.... I was given 30K for 3year tenure once at a tier one

I agree with the last post. I have 23 years in, and my lump sum estimate right now is not anywhere near $50k per year. Maybe the person made a typo and added an extra zero.

The lump sum value for pension is variable based on interest rates at the time of calculation (low rates = higher lump sum) and your salary history. I'm a GSR with almost 25 years in. I can give you 100% assurance, it is not $50K/year of service in my case, not even close. I just checked again. If it was $50K/year of service, I'd resign right now.

From what I've heard it works out to about $50k/year. At least for the person I know that just did it.

@rde+1gtzMCRU

That is an incorrect statement. You can get a lump sum in lieu of a pension if you are eligible but it is not $50K/year. It varies year to year depending on interest rates as well as your own salary history. All of this is outlined in the SPD.

There is a retirement buyout, its called a LUMP SUM retirement. You get $50k/year of service.

This insulates you from the eventual bankruptcy which is coming.

There is no retirement buyout. This post just proves that there are trolls posting on this site.

To OP's point. 580 pepper out of work so Ford can fund cr-p like this:
