Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

How much does it cost to replace a crumbling foundation?

Look at everything WF has done, the trouble it’s in, and what it needs to do to fix the bank to be ethical and tell me what you think it’ll take, and if it’s worth hanging on for. Mind you, lay-offs are inevitable at this stage in the collapse, but I’d like to know what your assessment is of the current WF situation and where you feel it’s headed and then do an overall career assessment for yourself and your goals, and then reply please.

The company needs to focus on making money and not pacifying fringe DEI groups, policies and employees.
Case in point - estimates suggest Trans are 0.2%-0.6% of the US population, yet we and our government waste so much time unnecessarily on smoke screen issues for that fringe group. I say ignore them and send them to an institution.

We need to focus on climate change if we want to fix things.

I see little change, if any. Reason being that WF is a huge company with the ability to seize buisness from unwilling "customers" (ie, acquiring mortgages). In this state there is no incentive for WF to improve.

There is a tremendous amount of "financial/beaurocratic inertia" that ties WF to the US financial system, which has been described as "too big to fail".

When WF does fail - if it fails - it'll go all at once, and it'll be part of a much broader economic failure. I don't think that's going to happen.

Others have compared WF to the Titanic. This is a great analogy, but perhaps a better one would be to compare it to the Lusitania. Google that and think about it.

My career and goals...? If I could go back in time and make some different decisions, knowing what I know now, I don't think I'd have done some of the same things. I'm a short timer here now, so it doesn't really matter.
