Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Bank of America California exit?

Heard from a colleague about a north California location closure by end of this year.
They didnt tell what will happen to employees in this locations. There are 250+ headcount and left in limbo. I told them to polish their resume.

People are leaving California in droves. It only makes sense that business will too. It’s dying from too much taxation, congestion and unaffordable/overpriced housing market. The same holds true for New York and similar states. Really, can you afford a down payment and mortgage payment on a $1.7 million dollar, 50 year old tract home @5% interest rate? Would you want too?

The smart ones have already sold and moved elsewhere.

Moving them mostly to Jacksonville and Texas, a few to be dispersed in Charlotte and the Northeast depends on their titles and positions, The rest outsourced or RIFd.
Blame Newsom and what's going on on that state.

There are literally 1000 California locations. Any specific region or markets?
