Recent SA was told, for Band 9 at least,

  1. IBM Average was 85% of Industry comps
  2. Systems was 83% of Industry comps

And that is from IBM's perspective - compared to colleagues and open jobs that % they believe is higher than reality.

Difficult to hear A say he's not worried about attrition when even internally they agree that they're 15-17pct below what even they think - which is indeed lower than actual.

Band 9, US, Services, 210K. Can't complain, though it would be nice to see bonuses/GDP come back.

I was a B10 on $290K plus a $80K sign on bonus with 2 yr clawback. No stocks. Left after 3 months and doubled my comp at a FAANG company. Only had to pay a small portion of the sign on bonus back.

Here is a good search trick, it'll give you the info you need as this was discussed before:

Band 9, 190K salary... nothing else these days at IBM.

The range within bands is much larger than it used to be. For example, I'm Band 9 but make more than the 180K posted earlier, so that's not an absolute amount. By the same logic, neither is 220K.

Depends on your job family and country. Look for salary ranges in “askHR”. Gives you salary ranges for any role band country combo.
