Expose! The good ol' boy network alive and well

This needs to be said. Because it will never change until it is exposed. But the good ol' boy network is alive and well at Ford.

Look at the recent action. Widespread reports of LL4s using this workforce reduction as an excuse to settle old scores. If you look at the make-up of the leaders you can understand why. Very few female leaders above LL5. Almost no minorities. So couple the preferential promotions with the biased separations, and you can see that the good ol' boy network is still firmly entrenched at Ford.

They give lip-service to DEI, but then their hiring and firing practices show their true nature. Where is the investigative reporting on all of this? Where is Freep to show how deep this preferential vs. biased network goes? Why is no one pointing it out and holding Ford's feet to the fire? Workforce reductions should not be about settling old scores because someone had the audacity to question a manager at some point in the past!

They tried to hide it well this time by not only letting go of longtime, pension eligible employees, but also younger, highly performant employees too. But the truth is still out there, and pretty obvious when you look at it.

LL4 stated 1200-1400 in June. Numbers and lists being finalized.
Was told numerous long time GSR8s are on the list along with LL6s and some youngsters. They were told by HR to make room for promotions.

What was the gist of the deleted comments? I find this post fascinating. It does seem like these latest cuts were done under cover of darkness by people so far removed from day to day it doesn't seem possible they could have been done based on skills, merit, or performance.

Is this the culture? Kiss a$$ to keep your job? Tell the truth and be let go?
