KOF feedback anonymity?

What is the level of anonymity of Knowledgeable Other Feedback when submitted through Career Connect?

is submitter for each comment identified to the reviewing Supervisor/Manager?
who can see whether a request for KOF was answered at all with a submission?
  • - individual being reviewed?
  • - their Supervisor/Manager?
  • - responder’s Supervisor/Manager?

I expected that these feedbacks to treated as private information until 8 years ago when a supervisor shared with me the exact text but without the person’s name. But, from the reference to the projects we had worked, it was pretty clear who wrote the comments.
So, although it is unlikely (but not impossible) for the whole form with names to be shared, it is likely that the write up will be shared in a form that the author is recognizable.

The KO forms aren’t shown in the assessment meeting. There is only one to two minutes of discussion per person so not enough time to show them. The supervisor can see them all in career connect but I’ve never seen them shared.

ZERO ANONYMITY. A supervisor printed my KO I wrote and showed it to the person I wrote it for, AND told the person who wrote it.

how do I know? The subject told me.

Nothing prevents you from putting your KO feedback in an email and send it to the supervisor. If you really want to be transparent, you CC the employee too.

The entire KOF process is a total waste of time and leads to corporate paralysis. I have been in ranking sessions and there is not enough time to faithfully and honestly represent each and everyone. The KOFs are hardly mentioned.

KO feedback is only supposed to be anonymous to the employee receiving it, everyone else can see who it is and that usually carries weight (or doesn’t) in assessments

Depends on the person’s Sup, there’re options to print out KO with or without names.

It’s as anonymous as those surveys the company sends out. Trust nothing, trust no one!

There are options to pull the data in an anonymous view or list with the names of the people who submitted the feedback. Generally the anonymous view is what is presented but keep in mind depending on the country and the privacy laws the employee can request to see who submitted the feedback. Like in Canada for example, the employees are permitted to request this information.

Everyone at the ranking can see the names when they flash the KOs.
