Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

They still don't get it...

SLT still doesn't want to let go of this id--tic rhetoric that we "work better together... in the physical office".

No, we do a f'ing great job of working from home and getting our jobs done. Yes, 2 days wfh is better than nothing but why do we even need to go in at all when so many of us don't even work in the same physical office as our team?! It's an ole school archaic mentality that SLT can't seem to let go of.

It is all a line of BS they are feeding us. They told us we have assigned workspace to keep us safe with the pandemic. We are doing RTO because we work better when we are together. Well we were just told we are going to be moved to a new building with no assigned seating. It will be first come first serve. There is no safety protocol with that and it does not ensure teams are working together if we are scattered across the floor. Just more bs being spoon fed to employees.

Two days a week will help reduce the talent drain like plugging a leak in the Hoover Dam with cotton candy

There's a strange "one size fits all" mentality going on even when it goes against all logic. I guess their plan is to have employees that resent the company and it's half baked ideas. Going to the office has made it a lot easier to spread negativity and get people to open their eyes about how evil the company is. If I worked from home, I'd never have those conversations with coworkers
