Career Advice #1: Make sure your boss likes you. Also, make sure his/her boss also likes you but while working on it make sure that your boss is not upset by it. I'll be back with more career advice later.

Hah! Sad, but true. I’ll take it one step further by saying to make sure your boss’s boss likes your boss. If not, your boss won’t be able to do anything for you whether he/she likes you or not.
