Thread regarding Ford layoffs

When is the next layoff planned? Does it sound like next time will be a similar format, as in LL4's will again sign a confidentiality agreement?

Thus no leaks?

Chris Farley should be Ford CEO. He would do a better job than Jim even from the grave.

Jim Farley is the real comedian. Everything he says is a joke.

Yes, I expect it to be very similar. The one earlier this year was the trial run. Likely those areas will have less people to let go because they already did it and are experiencing 25-30% turnover already as a result.

The other areas (look at the LL3 areas) will get hammered. Same drill, LL4s sign NDA, decide which heads to cut without consulting the LL5s and LL6s. It will be a numbers game. They'll sort the list by salary highest to lowest, then go down the list and decide who they think they can live without. They will have a budget to hit, so the higher the salary cut, the fewer actual heads will have to be cut. If you are above 50% of your salary band, and if you are GRP, regardless of performance, I'd have a backup plan.

There were people cut a few weeks ago that had been here 20, 25, 30 years plus.
