Don't know if this will have any impact at T. All Tesla employees must spend a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office. Their office must be their normal reporting location, not a remote location. I hate this, I never want to RTO! Ever!

I’m all for wfh. It’s just a matter of time before T only hires folks that have a hone in India.
weird thing; Elon's company is based on tech; yet - he believes that people need to be present ... work is what we do, not where we are.
I’m sure Tesla offices are properly air conditioned with necessities like office supplies, toilet paper, headsets, maybe even free coffee and water.

As Elon stated in his email to his troops, "if you don't want to return to the office, pretend you work someplace else"!
If a company has empty office they already have paid for, they'll probably get better results with a RTO because of intangibles like collaboration and so forth. But I doubt that they would get enough to recover the cost of the office. So, I can see a company using an office they already have, but I also see real estate reduction going forward.
AT&T does a lot of leasing. That strategy may pay off as leases expire.
Elon tries to appear cool with Twitter posts , memes, and technology but he is not a man of the working class. We don’t care what he says . Plenty of places to go where you can WFH. Family first. Anyone leaving Tesla can find work elsewhere.. easy.
I'm amazed that someone can actually get supplies in their office. The only way to get anything in our building without paying for it yourself is to look for someone who's left and grab anything they happened to leave.
Can people stop thinking Elon Musk rules the world? His irrational decisions and erratic behavior impact Tesla and SpaceX (maybe Twitter at some point), not AT&T.
Expect T and a lot of other corporations to follow , that's how these big corporate guys play the game, they're too chicken sh-t to be first, but once the trend is started , especially by some silicon valley company , they usually follow right along.
I'm OSP, only go to the office for supplies or an outage.
A RTO is definitely needed at T for many employees and groups. Many employees and contractors are unreachable most of the day when trying to reach to them through email, phone or collaboration tools.
I'm not going back under any circumstances, they can just fire me.
Yeah go ahead and send me back to the office and 40 hours. No more nights or Saturdays working on difficult problems. "Sorry, gotta go home."
T will follow. Will be hard for T folks to adjust to a 40 hour work week. Been nice working part time for over 2 years.
