Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Last chance to leave IBM

If you hate it here and want to leave, you don't have much time left. Once the recession kicks in, there'll be no more employees' job market and no easy way to find a new job, not to mention a better new job. If you're still here six months from now as miserable as ever but with no options to leave, you'll only have yourself to blame.

The job market is already getting worse. It is changing fast and there is most likely a recession in the card in the next 6 months. We slowly see companies curbing hiring and some are already laying off.

Soon there will be only band 10 and above will be left at IBM. No one to do the actual work.

At least IBM made money last quarter.

Amazon lost money and Netflix is a mess.

Bruh ibm pays so less and on top layoff risk is higher than any other company
Most of the time they can't even match 30%+ offer, let alone 2x offers lol. F ibm.

Too late. Most big tech firms are hiring freeze / layoffs now. Time to do this was few months ago.

I was there from 2001 to 2003 for exactly that problem. Plus at that point all the recruiter wanted to be preferred vendors for the smarter planet and couldn't poach.

You forgot to mention that if you stay with or without recession they will lay you off. Run away now!
