Thread regarding IBM layoffs

WSJ is asking you for cases of 'Failing upwards'

https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-your-coworker-manages-to-fail-up-corporate-ladder-at-work-11651075999

I don't know why but first thing popped in my mind is "IBM". Comment away to help the reporter, make sure to not blow up the site by doing it everybody at the same time ;)

Plenty of Nepotism at IBM... one example... Mr. Daghelian brought in is wife as VP in US Expert Labs with no experience, she was terrible. She left after a year when she could bargain an even better position at Service Now. Since then, Mr. Daghelian has also left the company.

"IBM had a big nepotism issue"

I keep hearing this. I keep challenging people to cite an example. Nobody ever can.

If it's such a big problem, it shouldn't be hard. Just post a last name. We all have access to the same Blue Pages, it shouldn't be hard to verify.

IBM had a big nepotism issue. Same last names showing up in executive positions. " I took care of you so now please take care of my children......."

It depended on the person how they were received.

The WSJ, a Murdock family owned publication, is trash.

Please don't post that garbage here.
