I have been hearing the murmurs of people being let go yet again at Broadridge. I know of at least 20 people being let go this year and I am sure there will be more. This seems to be the norm. Every April-June they start letting people go. It's now 2022 and they are letting people go again and it's shocking me about some of the people being let go.

Yup they lay people of every year. Many long time employees and they love to target people over 50. They will mix in younger people so they don't get called out on it. The culture there is terrible. I know many people that work there and they all hate it. The President is a Sales guy so everything is about selling and there has been little investment in the actual servicing. They are also stuck in a deal with a large broker building a platform that turned out to be a huge loss for them. They are one regulation change away from losing most of their revenue. They also claim to innovate but its a joke. They acquire companies using the billions they get from their core business that basically runs itself and call it innovating.
Many firms that have to let people are on LinkedIn trying to help their former employees. Broadridge is NOT one of those firms. While they let go a number of people, they want to keep it quiet so they can still be considered a "great place to work".
I see many people on LinkedIn and Glassdoor posting about their firms layoffs. I couldn't find one post about Broadridge even though dozens of people have been let go recently . While it's unfortunate when firms have to let people go, it is heartening when employees can help each other.
That doesn't seem to be the case at Broadridge. Is that indicative of the culture there?
Why don't people post more about this on sites like LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. I've seen how people rally around everyone who have being let go at other companies.
OP here. I found out that at least 18 software developers, 8 people in marketing and 2 support positions were let go. For the 2 they claimed it was performance (I was one of them) but it doesn't make sense. If you ask anyone outside my department, I was great, one of the few people who responded to emails. I was told there is a project that is being worked on that there are claims it will "revolutionize" the industry but right now it's way over budget.
I'm sure there are way more but employees aren't speaking up on websites like Indeed, LinkedIn or Glassdoor. I'm pretty sure they are paying to take down negative reviews because I know there used to be more negative reviews from Hyderabad, India associates but those reviews aren't up anymore.
True. Lots of people around the Broadridge laid off. No reason given. Majority were in the 45+ age category.
I was let go too after 6 years of my service. They said nothing to do with your performance. I wonder why then?

I was one of the people that got laid off. I started in February 2021 so I was shocked to say the least. It came out of left field. Guess I wasn’t adding e Pugh value added.
