Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Good employees leaving in droves

I'm not so marketable anymore and that's why i'm still here. I remember when the company was teeming with talented employees and it was a pleasure to work with them.
Isn’t it awful how few talented people are left here?
A company without talented employees is doomed.

Fiserv even acknowledged we were more product remote. Good luck to all those who are left who think it’s going to be easy.

P24 projects failing due to brain drain.
Begging folks to stay and being told no way.
Issues lasting longer due to talent lost.
No real managing going on. (No manager)
Folks no longer speaking english in Team calls. Not cool at all!
No brains left for innovations.
Stock stuck.

In short, FUBAR!

Wow, @1afu+1h9DOZUI, that is wild! I had no idea they were so aggressively trying to back peddle in some of these areas where offices closed. Must really be feeling the loss of knowledgeable staff!

Already won. Left fiserv and went to a full remote tech job. Pay and benefits are much better than fiserv. Especially medical and dental. Far far better benefits. Good 401k not these bogus trusts like fiserv is offering these days.

Won't they be surprised when the employees keep leaving in Oregon. Almost like their word has no value at all.

@1afu+1h9DOZUI, that's ridiculous. Thank you for telling this story, though, as it is eye-opening for those like myself who were not previously aware. Unfortunately, I cannot say I am surprised by this, though. Leadership is truly awful.

@1uzy+1h9DOZUI RTO isn't the issue. RTO 2,000 miles away is the issue. Here's a breakdown for you.

● Build beautiful new office in Beaverton employees go into
● Close new office within a few years and tell employees they're all permanently WFH
● Within a year and a half tell employees they all need to relocate to the other side of the country or take a severance
● Literally no one I am aware of from Beaverton is relocating to NJ and people start to leave as the job market is hot.
● Management takes relocation and severance off the table, gives a bonus to stay and says you can keep your job and stay permanent WFH in Oregon.
● Back to square one, all the unnecessary stress and drama for nothing and the team and company has been gutted and irreplaceable knowledge has walked out the door

My issue isn't return to office. It's a company that clearly doesn't have a vision and obviously doesn't know how to run a company or treat employees.

@1uzy+1h9DOZUI Sorry dude but you couldn't be more wrong. We would only need half the 44K number you quote if they were all talented. I see a lot of untalented people riding the coattails of the few talented people who are working. I see a few complete hacks that are way under-qualified and couldn't find an equal job if they tried. I see a lot of talented people who are complacent and would rather coast along then find another job.

As a great employee who works with 44,000 other great employees I take offense to your post. We get it your work from home gravy train is over for 200 of you and you are upset. We’ve heard it 200 times!
