Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

PIP Thread - Post your NSI story here

Rankings are final. Communications being scheduled.

Are NSIs communicated first, last, or random order?

Please post here if received NSI and when / how your communication took place, and if taking PIP.

Anyone received NSI communication yet?

I just figured out that I am the very last person in my group to receive my ranking communication. Getting worried.

One more thing. On the Texas Workforce Commission’s website they describes the circumstances of your separation that make you eligible for un employment. One circumstance is something to the effect of resigning because otherwise you would have been fired. That’s the case with your PIL. If you were denied benefits, then that was wrong and should be appealed.

Good luck to the PIP’d. There’s life after the company. I promise you things can get better. You may make less money, but you can change your life for the better. Use this as the motivation to find something that makes you happier. You may make less, you may make more. Just GET OUT!!!

You can claim unemployment benefits regardless. The PIL basically keeps you on payroll for 3 months, same as the PIP. But with the PIP you have to work. With the PIL you do not. After those three months, then you are unemployed and you can claim unemployment benefits.

Taking the PIP or PIL should depend on your personal situation. For some folks with a supervisor who’s not an a-ho-e, then you may actually have a chance of passing. If your supervisor gives you a PIP with impossible to achieve tasks, or poorly defined goals, then you won’t pass and you should save yourself the pain and suffering and just take the PIL.

Good luck! I’m out of there. I’m in a new place that is beautiful with access to hiking, mountain biking and skiing. I make a little less but my quality of life is much better. There is life after the company and it can lead to a big improvement in you life and wellbeing.

GET OUT!!!

If you are marketable and are able to find other employment quickly, the PIL is a good option, however, I know if someone who took the PIL, couldn't find employment and was denied unemployment benefits due to signing and taking the PIL. If you don't pass your PIP, you could claim unemployment.

@1exg+1hBVKPZu Facing the same situation right now. NSIed because of my age (late fifties) What did you take? PIP or PIL? And why?

Supervisors will carry in like all is normal even if you are going to be Pip’d. Mine actually complimented me in a meeting about something And how they “loved” that about my work. 3-4 weeks later was NSI. My age dictated the NSI. Decision to take PIP or PIL was due before end of August in 2021.

My Supervisor booked my PDS discussion for 2 weeks from now.

He already knows the rankings.

Just curious if he would interact so normally with me and draw this out for 2 weeks more if he knew I was NSI.

I've had nothing from my supervisor for more than 2 weeks. Betting on me being NSI fodder!

It begins with a telepathic communication protocol. Check your hunch feelings.

It is random by design so that people can’t guess who was assessed as what. But people talk these days, so the old school secret approach doesn’t really work. The PIPs will all have to happen by a certain time in the year to legally give people enough time to decide to do the PIP or take the pay in lieu. Or at least that is what I’ve been told by supervisors who will actually shed light on things.

Random last year. Two high performers, then PIP, then middle.

I know a person who was PIP'd and one who was ranked VG. Must be random
