Someone made an excellent observation that executives seem to see IBM more as a financial company and less of a tech company. Since when is it like that?
That disappointed me quite a bit. When I applied here, my expectations were completely different.

IBM: a law firm with an I/T department.
It's an ATM for the C-suite
You are smart. Run away.
Every tech company that survives long enough goes through these life stages:
- run by engineers
- run by marketing
- run by managers
- run by finance
- run by legal
- run into the ground
IBM is currently in the transition between "finance" and "legal"
OP, you applied at IBM... did you get a job? If yes, then it is time to look elsewhere. You clearly see that this IBM company is a farce, don't you?
I thought they dropped all the tech and are now a cloud company
