Does an interesting and rewarding career await for a relative New Hire into BAR, or is it the holding pen for soon-to-be NSIs?

Difficult to rise through the ranks when all you’re doing is advising the business really
Historically, well before 2020, BAR was commonly known to be the absolute worst place to work in the corporation. I can only imagine how awful it is these days.
LMFAO
Better ramp up the job search. As a minimum transfer out ASAP to a role that actually does real work. If the person is young, hey should leave. After time in BAR they will have no transferable skills.
NSI is a certainty in our futures just like death. Now you can do things to help you hold it off as long as possible, but eventually, you won’t be able to meet the increasing expectations of your roles over time and you will be pushed out to pasture. Hopefully, you can make that day after your are over 55-60.
Steer clear of anything downstream. Upstream or LCS, nothing else matters.
I would not go there right now. With the mergers of Chem and F&L it is total chaos and you will be worked to death
