Ford is #1 - in recalls

Front page article in the Detroit News about our abysmal quality, and how it’s only been getting worse the past ten years, during which time Farley has been an executive.

WHEN WILL FARLEY BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE?

“So far this year, Ford leads all automakers in the U.S. in recalls, according to NHTSA, with 44 recalls - not counting Friday's action - covering nearly 6.7 million vehicles.

“The quality issue is like trying to change the oil while the car's going 65 miles an hour,” Ives said. “There is a fork in the road coming up because if these issues start to accumulate - especially as we get into later this year then I think that's where Wall Street really starts to have significant concern.”

“And Farley, it's been a Cinderella story mostly,” he added. “I think the clock is striking midnight on this issue.”

Oh, don't worry. The US has sold its people out happily. Did you know ISP's can sell information which websites you have visited? Made possible during Donald's reign btw. Europe on the other hand has regulated what companies can do with people's information and you have to consent.

Any of us that have been around to remember the old acronyms "Found on Road Dead" and "F'd over Rebuilt Dodge" remember the quality issues back then. Took decades to rebuild some level of trust again. I don't think they will succeed twice.

Agree with the comment below. We won't have data to collect if we're not selling vehicles that work or customers want to buy. I know I wouldn't buy a new one right now given most of them have some kind of quality issue or recall going on

Its still unclear on what kind of golden goose awaits with selling this data either. I know some of that information is used for things like insurance rates for insurance companies to study driving and accident and stuff like that but has there been any talk on what they're hoping to do with all of this data they keep talking about?

Something else ice not really seen is when will this data be regulated. Seems like a grey area right now but something that will definitely come to light. Could severely dampen prospects for this model based on things to come if it gets diminished by regulators.

rgm+1hF8vMZd, sorry but you are so wrong.

We have no way to collect data if customers wont buy our vehicles.

They wont buy until we demonstrate that we can provide safe and reliable platforms and with over 44 recalls (including Mach E and Lightning) it will be a challenge.

The challenge will multiply as more and more auto manufacturers enter the EV market with products that offer better range, performance, and reliability.

Take those Farley podcasts with a grain of salt. All is not rosy today at Ford.

Bill Ford supporting the leadership team I think it goes much deeper than it appears on the surface.

Everyone knows the company is in a transformation phase, from vehicles and hardware to data and software. Costs related to recalls on legacy products will be binned to Ford Blue and not Model e (which is Ford's future primary business).

Therefore while campaigns like this one are of course not preferred, the bottom line for Model e is future revenue will not suffer.

No surprise with Farley at the helm. His podcast takes precedence over quality, his racing over vehicle and passenger safety, and his ambition to be the next Musk over massive recall costs. We now have the reputation (earned) of a company that produces vehicles that can catch your home on fire and where your windshield may fall out with a sudden stop.

And yet, BF continues to support this management team with ZERO accountability (Our future is in data).

Sad commentary..
