Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Well it happened…made the “naughty list”

Last week several of my teammates made the naughty list. A report was provided (down to the individual name) of those not in the office 60% of the time for the month of June. They compared PTO to in office time. If it wasn’t at 60% you had to provide a reason. No formal discipline (this time) we were told to “do better”. We were coded as “does not meet” in office time. Soooo guess I’ll be going in 3X week until I can get the heck out of this place.

As I sit here in a Mortgage building with my WF provided noise cancelling headphones (high quality) and cranking Eminem, reading these posts, I can see clusters of Mortgage business people standing around chatting and not working, I am wondering who has the new Omnicron variant ... Others are on their phones like me ... I am living a bad movie.

Get a life. What's it to you if people you don't know and don't work with come to the office to take phone calls or not?

@crs - Per HR, this is all up to the LOB.

This is not what my boss has been saying, and an HR rep confirmed there is no company-wide policy.

This is fake. Or some slimy manager is making it up to as a scare tactic.

Not all locations require badging out to leave the building so if they want to track hours, it would have to be some other method.

@vlz

I have also heard the 6 hour minimum for it to count as a day in office.

@prc+1hFB4NJA "Is there a min# of hours that you have to be in the office on non WFH days?"

I don't know if they have a standard enterprise-wide yet. On a team call with my manager, they let me know they were going to start looking at badge in/badge out times. They are considering flagging people working less than 6 hours on office days. But I haven't heard anything else since then.

It could just be a threat to get people to be in the office more, but I could definitely see them taking disciplinary action from it.

“How does PTO affect the %. Does it count for an in office day?”

Both holidays (like the 4th that just passed) and scheduled PTO count as in office days.

I just pop into a huddle room and take a nap, I mean meditate, for a few hours. No different than at home.

If I wanna slack, I can get away with it just as easily in office as I can at home. Nobody I actually work with day to day is in my city. RTO is just checking a box, for leadership that can’t think outside the box.

Sounds like a mortgage risk thing then, my team didn't have such a requirement last year or this year.

Actually the slide deck that I saw - presented by middle managers in Mortgage Credit Risk - indicated a minimum of 30% "Inconsistently Meets" which is why I no longer work for WF.

#2 is not an enterprise wide requirement. Maybe in your LOB, but not all.

One more reason to bounce on out of WF.
Lets review the list: 1) 401K match ONLY once per year. 2) Formal requirements that all spineless middle managers deliver at least 15% "Inconsistently Meets" and another 5% "Does not Meet" each review cycle 3) Laying off all the QA team so job responsibilities increased and pay actually decreased due to measly 1.5% merit and a high rate of inflation plus the theft of my bonus by said spineless middle managers, and finally 4) RTO where my life may be threatened by yet another variant of covid and I'm even poorer because I have to pay five bucks a gallon for gas. Fu(k'em!!!

It will impact your bonus. If you want no bonus, keep floating RTO.

Are they going to cut your bonus in half this year? Ouch... oh wait :)

Hmmm,

  • maybe the money I save ignoring RTO will be help me
  • It is unlikely they would ever give me a package anyway (desired or not)
  • With WFH I would have a little more freedom to interview for a new job
  • If manage to escape this he-l then I would forfeit any bonus/raise/match anyway
  • If they want me gone then it will take several months based on just me ignoring RTO

Do what is best for you, but meh... it is just a naughty list for me

Unbelievable for them to be doing this as more areas increase in BA.5 spread.

What LOB OP?
