Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

BBS

Does anyone see the BBS position going away? Kind of a middle line job with the bankers being able to do the same loans as the BBS and most BBS's are not trained to work commercial loans... Just really makes me question why that position is at US Bank. It essentially if a glorified business account opening position. Been in the BBS position for over 4 years

Customers can literally log into their online banking and do a small business loan without interacting with the BBS once... A monkey could do this job... Of course the RM's job isn't to build small business they are doing large commercial loans that bring as much fee income into the bank than most BBS's do loans

No chance. Small business banking is the largest opportunity at the bank. The BBS is the key to growing small business, not the RMs in business banking or the branches are equipped to capitalize on these clients.

Ton of other small banks laid off BBs’s long time ago. Us bank will soon eliminate that position As well

No. They’ve literally built the new infrastructure around these jobs sticking around. Business Banking is clearly the way forward. Relax.
