Definitely time to find a new employer. WF notoriously stalls salary increases at a pathetic 1-2%, if at all each year. The job market is hot and you could likely find something making significantly more than $42k.

Just a heads-up that the majority of people on this board are here during work hours aka bored and are well paid because they chose tech career. They don’t see a benefit in the company helping lower level employees.

The answer is yes it’s a problem, especially this year. It would seem the strategy is to let long standing employees walk and hope some stay for lower pay.

What?!! If you're only making $42k, you need to find a new job right away. There won't be a better time to find a new role, and you can get a way better salary. PNC is hiring entry level customer service with no experience or degree for like $42k.

Don’t fall for it, young folks. They will get rid of you in a minute if they think it will save a buck once you are older.

Is that 42k gross or net? IF a teammate stays at the corporation to long then they give us peanuts. its best to move on after a few years bc we are here to be used and abused. also they have an endless pit of $ to pay for silly diversity videos/commercials and other junk for the CONsumers

It's about kneading the bread, getting that puck to the goal and working together. communicating, and talking to each other. we need to lift each other up and help bend the needle to quality and value. thank usa-ins for having a place with very few employment protections /rights. hamsters in a wheel-us ers

In fairness to the OP, his initial salary when he was hired was probably higher than those around him who had been there a while.

When I got hired one person complained about the level at which I was hired and what they assumed I was being paid. Fast forward 20 years, and I'm not making much more. The world has caught up to me - and passed me.

You young people - don't make the same mistake as me - don't work for the same company for more than a handfull of years.

Why do you think it’s recommended to move jobs every 2-3 years?

lol you've been in an entry level job for seven YEARS, you should be let go, not given a raise. If you had any talent or ambition you'd have moved on to a better role 6 years ago.
