But I don't want that, not even at the cost of losing my job. Helping someone is perfectly fine, but for my boss to order me to correct the mistakes made by his lazy favorite - that's not ok with me. I am exhausted from doing double workloads and I'm still supposed to be correcting mistakes of those who are privileged, while they do almost nothing? No way!

@2ddz+1hIIk9WY Either way it is lose lose for the worker and unsponsored individual. I had a colleague that was terrible at her work when she was sent to the plant. She was sponsored and the fairy godmother had her back and seems impossible to fall.
They get promoted fast too. This way, they can blame the workers. Not the “leader”.
As per the story below, a slacker can succeed in EM if chosen or if fits a favored demographic.
If you are instructed to do work to cover for a slacker, just know that it must be a sponsored slacker, and no matter what, that slacker will be ranked at the top.
As you are the person assigned to do the work of that slacker, you will be ranked at the bottom. The better you do your job, the more credit given to the HiPo slacker.
If someone is a slacker, help them out, because slacking is a sign of a chosen person.
Maybe the slacker will remember your help when the slacker becomes an executive.
Looks like your supervisor wants you to take the rap. Do it poorly, you will be pulled down in ranking. Wow! This is terrible!
“Fixing slackers' mistakes”
If you’re working in O&G, you’re a slacker. So is your boss. Own it and move on.
It's simple. Draw the line, and say no.
You'll be nervous doing so, but that's what you must do. And don't wimp out, either. Make it clear that the days of you shouldering the load doing re-work or correcting others mistakes are over.
This is a management failure, and is not your problem. It is his. Make him own it.
Why are you all still caring????? What's wrong with you people???? + 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
How about re-doing the work that technology centers deliver, just because the quality is poor?
I recently decided to throw and towel and no longer care about the quality of deliverables. They can outsource everything to Mars.
I got a better one for you. How about doing the work of an incompetent boss while he goes networking for his next job? And doing damage control and then get blamed when his stupid ideas don’t pan out.
