Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

SSHE Global Security

SSHE in particular Global Security used to be a valued added Department with world class professionals that always did the ‘right vs popular’ and set the bench mark in the security industry. Such a shame to see the deterioration and poor behaviour that has resulted in some questionable decisions to actively see positive change makers depart or being encouraged to leave. It’ begins with management who sets the tone and environment which unfortunately has corroded over time and until that has been addressed or staff speak up then this will be a continuation with no end sight. I wish them all the success and courage to regain there high benchmark and place once again!

GS Leader in Dallas should have taken over years ago, unlike the present. Heard same mold will eventually replace so no change at the top.

A darn shame to read such a post. I have to say I agree, so many good professional upstanding folks have been mistreated by the few in that space.

Quick question about TX locations vs. others in EM.
If Global Security is going downhill - is Spring or other sites down there ok with BYO PPE?
You know what I mean. PPE with unlimited rounds of protection?

It is an overstatement that SSHE was an valued department. SSHE was valued not the department.

Think the main area addressed here is SSHE.
Safety, Health, Environment etc.
Those that help make a healthy retirement possible for some of us.
Sad to see this in decline.
Not a money-maker, I guess.

The author of this should be more specific and mention which division of global security they are referring too, so that the readers know which management group is being referenced. GS is very big and has many departments most with different management, not all of which suffer from this behavior mentioned by the author.

They will be outsourced at some point. They only recruit certain stereotypes which limits innovation and professional maturity.
