I once saw an uncoordinated effort by each department to move jobs overseas, but just by luck it prepares for less impact if there is a country specific event.

Specifically one group moved work to Argentina, another to Brazil, and another to India. The executives were just not coordinating.

To top that off, while big efforts to move work overseas, DW put in motion a hiring binge in US in 2018-2019.

That DW hiring binge while moving work overseas was a root cause of the 2020 layoff, but he blamed Covid 100%.

The proof is in the pudding. When push came to shove in 2020-2021, EM laid of hundreds of US employees and hired by the hundreds at BTC…

@bka+1hJxXmQN EM is an American company. Do you think they will cut you off or US employees? You will be out in a heartbeat. Which is why CL and Potential are different to begin with. Not so equal eh?

I live for THE DAY when there is a country event there and we need to pull out just like we did in Russia.

There will be no one to do the job, and US experts will be working for competitors.

Management will then claim “unforeseen circumstances”. I see it coming already.
